Hyaluronic acid lip filling and lip rejuvenation
The passage of time does not spare the area of the lips: as we age, the lips also lose their fullness, the sagging of the whole face causes the position of the lips to change, they can become asymmetrical, thin. The Medicare Aesthetica hyaluronic acid lip filling and lip rejuvenation treatment can be used to increase the surface area of the lips, enhance the lip contour, and reduce fine lines around the mouth.
Who is the treatment recommended for?
For anyone whose lips have sagged, thinned, or lost fullness with age. Hyaluronic acid lip filling is also recommended for those who would like to fade their smoker’s lines. The treatment can be carried out over the age of 18, if there are no contraindications, and the treatment plan is agreed in consultation with our plastic surgeon.
For what purposes can the treatment be used?
- Plumping of thin lips
- Correction of asymmetrical lips
- Highlighting of contour
Areas of application
The area of the lips.
Preparation for the treatment
The treatment requires no preparation at home. Local anesthesia with ointment is used in the consulting room.
The treatment
The THEOSYAL KISS filler, thanks to its cross-linked hyaluronic acid content (20 mg/ml), gives volume and density to the skin, fills wrinkles, lifts the skin, provides an even skin surface, and stimulates collagen production. THEOSYAL KISS rejuvenates the skin, smooths wrinkles, and lifts facial contours.
Visia system is used to take a diagnostic photo. After cleansing the face, the area to be treated is anesthetized and, after tiny needle pricks, the filler is injected under the skin in a fan shape using a blunt-ended needle (cannula). At the end of the procedure, a soothing cream, as well as sunscreen is applied to the treated area.
Ability to work, home care
After the treatment, the puncture site may become slightly red and local cooling should be applied for a short time. There may be temporary, minor hemorrhaging and swelling. Following the treatment, massage of the treated area, use of saunas and solariums, and intensive sports activities are prohibited for 10 days.
Number of treatments
One treatment is required, but additional fillers may be given at the follow-up visit depending on the results achieved. Hyaluronic acid, which is naturally present in living tissues, breaks down without trace after 6-9 months. The treatment can then be repeated.
